Pale yellow. Reticent but pure aromas and flavors of lemon drop, minerals and crushed stone. Concentrated, fresh, vibrant and quite tight, with terrific density and sappiness. Featured in ROLLING STONE, MEN'S JOURNAL, US WEEKLY, John Gilman: This is the very old vine bottling from Monsieur Entes parcel in en lOrmeau, with the vines now over one hundred years of age. I was very intrigued that he decided to serve this next in the lineup, as this is normally the last Meursault served, but he explained that he wanted to continue with the same terroir in the progression. This has typically been his best wine year in and year out, and the 2007 is pure magic. The bouquet is flat out brilliant, as it explodes from the glass in a haze of iodine, orange, passion fruit, lime zest, kaleidoscopic minerality, a touch of hazelnut, spring flowers and perhaps somewhere in all these aromatic fireworks there is a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and backward, with a rock solid core of fruit, an unbelievable blade of minerality, and stunning length and grip on the racy, tensile and laser-like finish. Pure magic., Burghound: A slightly riper nose of orchard fruit, white pear, spice and brioche notes give way to powerful, driving and mouth coating flavors that possess excellent mid-palate fat that buffer the solid acid spine on the hugely long finish. This is carrying more obvious wood but the underlying material is such that it will be successfully absorbed in time. This is most impressive for what is essentially a villages level vineyard.
